Christmas Wishes were a popular topic among callers to the radio show this week... and there were plenty of good ones!
Horace in San Diego- who moved to this country from Germany- wished
for American voters to be thoughtful, wise and informed before casting
their vote for President in '08.
Dan in San Diego, whose brother suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after serving time in Iraq, wished his brother a healthy recovery.
Dan described how the VA has
determined that his brother's mental problems were 'pre-existing' which
has made the recovery process that much more difficult.
We wish the same for Dan's brother, as all who have served deserve
nothing but the best from our government. Too often we hear of stories
similar to Dan's.
My Christmas Wishes were that Ramos-Compean would
be home for Christmas. As recently as a few days ago my sources close
to the situation had been telling me things were looking very
optimistic .
However as the time of this writing the Christmas Day wish appears to be in jeopardy.
Regardless we will not be deterred and will continue to raise public
awareness and fight to get the two Border Agents out of prison and back
home with their families they belong.
My other Christmas Wish is that Private First Class Corey Claggett and his mother feel the Christmas spirit and enjoy stress-free Holidays...and also...
...that we continue to move closer in our goal of raising money for the legal defense of PFC Clagget.
As of the time of this posting, more of your donations have continued
to come in...and we are now only $6,000- from our target!
...And finally...I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Everyone,
Rick Amato
